Julie Ann Kimbro went to be with her Lord on April 12, 2016 at the age of 56. She was born on August 7, 1959 in Odessa to parents Don and Betty Ribble, with her mother preceding her in death. Julie attended and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1977. Julie had a long and fulfilling professional career, first working for Petrofac which merged with CB&I and finally the Keith Miller Law Office. Wherever she worked she endeared herself to her coworkers with her loyalty, efficiency, and the frequent sharing of her outstanding baked goods.
Julie married her husband Holt Kimbro on March 15, 1993. She is survived by Holt, and her three children: daughter Becky Davis and husband Andrew, son Matthew MacWhirter, and her youngest daughter Kelsey Kimbro as well as Kelsey's longtime boyfriend Brad Collins. In addition, she is survived by her two grandchildren, Alex and Audrey Davis. Julie had a large and loving family and is also survived by her father Don, and her sister Patti Scoggins, as well as Patti's children, Laura Gray and Andrew Scoggins.
Julie, lovingly known as Gigi, loved to play with and spoil her two grandchildren. Julie had a passionate love for her family, baking, Candy Crush, and her little dog Scrappy. Her sense of humor and fiery spirit will be remembered by all who met her.
Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Graveside services will be held at Harris Creek Cemetery on Sunday, April 17th at 2:00pm with Rev. Dale Wilt officiating.
Pallbearers are Brad Collins, Glenn Gray, Andrew Scoggins, Andrew Davis, David Sanders and Aidan Wilt.
