

Memorial services for Jo Clark Ferguson, of Tyler, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Christ Episcopal Church with The Rev. Mary E. Wilson and The Rev. David Luckenbach officiating.
Mrs. Ferguson died September 10, 2014 in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Ferguson, in July of 1998.
She was born May 6, 1929, in Graham, Texas and lived in Tyler since 1978. She graduated from Graham High School in 1946 and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth in 1950 with a B. A. degree in Geology. Mrs. Ferguson worked for Humble Oil and Exxon Company, USA in Wichita Falls, Houston, and Tyler. She retired with 32 years of service as a geological advisor in 1982. She was a former member of East Texas Geological Society, and a 55-year member of American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and a member of All Saints Guild and Paper Guild. She was an active supporter of All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Joe Don Ferguson of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, two sisters-in-law, Lillian Fryer of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and Dorothy Ferguson of Fort Worth, several nieces and nephews including Mary Boone, John Ferguson, and James Ferguson. Also, special friends included Harry Brown, deceased, Gary Embrey of Longview, and Jon and Jill Alexander of Tyler.
