Mrs. Carney was born on June 21st, 1941, in Thomasville, Georgia. Her family relocated to East Texas when she was a teenager. She went to be with the Lord October 25th, 2011, in Tyler after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church.
Janice was a strong and courageous person who lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jack, spending time with family, cooking, and decorating. She will be missed. She is in the arms of the Lord now, free from pain and whole again.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Singleton, her mother Evelyn Singleton and brothers Thomas and Randy Singleton.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years Jack Carney; sister Carolyn Chamberlain and husband Roland of Bullard; brother Rodney Singleton of Owentown; children, son Mark Pritchard and wife Kathey of Tyler, son David Pritchard and wife Kim of Big Sandy, son Mitchell Carney and wife Staci of Mt. Pleasant, daughter Terrie Hale and husband Randy of Jacksonville, daughter Stacy Pritchard of Berryville, and daughter Michelle Carney of Shreveport eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Jonathan Pritchard, Michael Pritchard, Jordan Hale, Brian Conner, Steven McCormick, and Jack Crain.
Family visitation will be Friday October 28th, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas
