A man of Faith, we read nightly the bible verses he had copied off and put in a binder full of his favorite chapters from the Bible; Love, he had for everyone in his life, and true Respect of everyone. He enjoyed music, working, living a full life and loving his wife Bonnie Summers Weaver, she was his rock.
He loved seeing the kids with one another and was so happy seeing the children and grandchildren coming in the door.
He was preceded in death by daughter Debbie, his mother and father Glen and Gladys Weaver, brothers Joe, David, Benny, and son-in-law Gary Pagitt.
He is survived by wife Bonnie Summers Weaver, and brother William Weaver.
Children Keith Weaver (Suzanne), Tommy Weaver, Cindy Weaver (Darren), Jim Weaver(Lisa), Allen Garner (Stacey), Forrest Dale Garner (Donna) and Angie Pagitt. Grandchildren Forrest Tucker Garner, Luke Garner, Rachael Pagitt (Anjelica), Damon Pagitt (Kelly), Tanner Garner
(Mari), Taylor Garner, Tori Garner, Tyler Garner; Kathryn Weaver; Alex Hight, Jordan Hight(Kristan) and seven great-grandchildren, and special family friend Judy Greenlee (our Oodie).
James was known by many titles: King Chevrolet's top commercial salesman for many years; Coach of Little League baseball in Athens and Tyler - he was the head coach to one of the greatest dynasties in the history of baseball - winning the city championship every year from 4th grade through the 12th grade. James was the manager of Goodyear stores in Athens and Tyler; the titles he dearly loved the most was Coach and musician/singer.
James and Bonnie owned The Cattleman's Restaurant & Club in Athens TX. His love of music allowed him to meet and sing with many well known country music singers and fans as he was on the country music scene for some 65 years; Master of Ceremony for the Athens Old Fiddler's Contest in Athens, Texas was a title he proudly carried for many years as his band played for over 30 years there, and he loved every minute of it. He married the love of his life Bonnie 30 years ago. To all who knew him, truly knew that she was his rock, his forever love. Memorial services will be at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East 1st Tyler, TX, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00.p.m.
