Jacquelyn Dawn Herron Hinshaw Adams, 42, of Tyler, Texas, took her last breath among her children, mother, father, pastor, and friends at 3:30pm, January 4th, 2019, at Mother Frances Hospital. After 10 years of battling cancer.
Jackie was born on February 8, 1976, Tyler, Texas to Bobby Mack Herron and Lisa Dawn Evans. Her loving Step-father, Derral Washburn, came into her life when she was three.
Jackie loved and made so many friends at her beloved school, Chapel Hill. Jackie was as they say-“Once a bulldog always a bulldog.” She was a High School Drum Major, was in National Honor Society and attended classes at Tyler Junior College.
Jackie met and fell in love with Gary Hinshaw. They have a handsome intelligent son, Cole Hinshaw, of 16 years old. Jackie also has four children from her second marriage. Madison is 13, Miley is 10, and the twins Marleigh and Brody are 7.
Jackie was a fantastic mother. She often went without, so the kids could have things. She wanted more than anything for the children to have a home they could call their own. This wish has become possible, though she won’t physically be there, her spirit will be there.
Jackie was an avid Komen Race for the Cure Race Advocate. She spoke at last year’s race of encouragement, faith, and determination. Things Jackie knew of first hand.
Jackie made friends easily and kept in touch with almost all. She loved her family, her church family, and her friends. But most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jackie is survived by parents, Dawn and Derral Washburn; brother, Wesley Washburn; sister, Michaela Spradley and husband Will; children, Cole Hinshaw, Madison, Miley, Marleigh and Brody Adams; grandmothers, Colleen Hicks and Barbara Washburn, all of Tyler.
