Following high school he enlisted in the Army and served for 8 years. Following his military service he returned to Tyler and met his future wife, Virginia Morton and they were married in 1960. They made their home in Tyler and Henry worked various jobs before becoming a vending machine repairman in the early 70's; retiring in 1987. In his retirement he sold produce on the side of the road, and loved this more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and two sisters and is survived by his daughter, Jill Lanfrey of Ben Wheeler; two grandchildren, Chris Hall of Austin and Brandon Hall of Kilgore, and four great granddaughters, Mari, Brianna, Trinity and Abigail.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
