Glenn Ray Cooper Jr.

He passed away on July 12, 2020 in New Chapel Hill.

Ray was born on November 4, 1964 in Tyler to Glenn Ray, Sr. and Anna Lee Cooper.

He graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1983.

Ray was a loving, caring, faithful husband, step-father, son and brother.

He is survived by his wife Carmel Ann Cooper; two step-children Valerie Martin and Wesley Penland; parents Glenn Ray, Sr. and Anna Lee Cooper; sister Mary Alice Gordon “Cissy Cooper”; nephews Vance Ray Gordon, Mitchel Ray Gordon and Joel Cooper; nieces Taylor Elizabeth-Lee Cooper and Lauranne MacKenzie Cooper; aunts Vicki McElhaney, Jeanette Sifuentes, Annette Lilly, Kay Cooper and Connie Cooper; uncle Dewayne Cooper and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Glenn Cooper; grandparents Mary Everett, Edward Archie and Alice Mae Cooper, Joel and Ada Lee Gibson; uncles Gerald Cooper, Edward Cooper, Jr., Leon Cooper and brother-in-law Billy Ray Gordon; mother-in-law Beverly Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, Sharon Shriners Hospital for Children, LUNGevity Foundation or Bethel Baptist Church in Tyler.
