Services for Gerald James Gravitt, 78 of Tyler, Texas are Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at The Cathedral in The Pines Cemetery on October 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Walter Jones officiating.
Gerald passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at home. He was born November 2, 1941 in West Point, GA to the late Thomas Wesley Gravitt and Essie Mae Maddox. He was employed as a truck driver with Stone Container in Owentown, TX for many years. He was a member of Rise Again Baptist Church.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margie Gravitt, daughter and Son-in-law, Sylvia and Tim Gray of Fort Worth, Son, James Gravitt of Tyler, daughter, Debbie Bryant of Tyler and another daughter, Kristi Gravitt of Arlington, two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Sue and Bobby Eubanks and Louise and James Eubanks; 5 grandchildren, Shelby, Cassie, Jessica, Ashley and Jill and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
