Fredie Lin Wheat, age 86, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Fredie Lin Wheat was born October 16th, 1937 inVidor, TX to the late Linwood Wheat & Marion Seal-Pollock. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God and was a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 1151. He taught at Chapel Hill ISD as the electrical trades teacher. Before he retired he was the Electrical Inspector for the City of Tyler. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 1233 for 50 years in Tyler, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years prior to passing, Patricia Naretto-Wheat. He was also preceded in death by his Father, Linwood Wheat and Mother, Marion Seal-Pollock. and one Grandson, Ryan Dakota Wheat.
Survivors include his sons, Lin Albert Wheat of Chapel Hill, Jerry Allen Wheat and Wife Janine Gayle Wheat of Chapel Hill, Duane Elbert Wheat of Chapel Hill; Grandson Dylin Duane Wheat of Amarillo, TX and step Grandson Dustin Miller of Bullard.
Serving as pallbearers are Harold Palmer, Charles Huson, Tim Wells, Duane Wheat, Lin Wheat and Mike Golden.
A visitation for Fredie will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home - Cemetery & Mausoleum, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, TX 75704.
A funeral service will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, TX 75704.
Fredie will be laid to rest in Tyler Memorial Park, Tyler, TX following the funeral service.
