Memorial Services for Fay Sanders, age 72, of Tyler, Texas are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday June 3, 2017 at Tyler Tabernacle with Rev. Justin Bullard and Rev. Mike Littlefield officiating. Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
She passed away on May 31, 2017 in Tyler.
Fay was born on August 4, 1944 in Wichita Falls to the late Jacob Benjamin Pruett and Ina Faye Pruett. She was a loving wife, Mom, and Mawmaw. She spent her time as a homemaker and her joy was spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids. Growing up, she had a special relationship with her twin brother, Ray Pruett. She loved her sisters and enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. Her relationship with God, and being a part of her local church was an important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Sanders of Tyler, son, Chuck Sanders of Tyler; daughter Dena and husband Sammy Draper of Whitehouse; grandchildren Brian Sanders, Michael Sanders, Sarah Draper and Katie Draper; two sisters Betty Freeman of Odessa and Gloria Rohlfing of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers-in-law Travis Starnes of Gatesville and Jimmy Carter of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister-in-law Belinda Carter of Corinth, Mississippi, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Ina Starnes; brother Ray Pruett; grandson Daniel Draper; brothers-in-law Bob Freeman and Chuck Rohlfing; mother-in-law Mary Carter; brother-in-law Raymond Carter; sister-in-law Ethelene Carter; and nephew David Carter.
Pallbearers will be Brian Sanders, Michael Sanders, Mike Wright, Steve Yancy, Simon Yancy, James Byrd and Doug Garner.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on June 3, 2017 at Tyler Tabernacle 3115 East 5th Street, Tyler, Texas.
