Elizabeth Marie Lee passed away peacefully Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at the age of 80, in Arp, Texas surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on November 12, 1942, in Marshall, Texas, the daughter of Grady Aword Wortham Sr. and Ethel Lois Fitch Wortham. She attended Marshall public schools and married the love of her life, Robert Glenn Lee on Sept 1st,1959. She raised 5 beautiful children. Marie loved her family and loved having them over every weekend to barbeque and play the guitar. She was the matriarch of the Lee family and will be missed deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Ethel Wortham Sr, Brothers, Grady Wortham Jr; Charles Wortham; Howard Wortham; Jimmy Wortham her husband, Robert Glenn Lee.
Left to cherish Marie’s memories include her sister, Alma Jean McMullen of Tatum; Brother, Larry Wortham of Marshall and her children, Chris Wayne Lee of Arp, TX; Robert and Tambra Lee of Gladewater; Douglas Glenn Lee of Gladewater; Debra Jean Nelson of Palestine; Darrel and Brandi Lee of Arp; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
