Diane M. Morris

Diane Wallis Morris, 63, of Tyler, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. Visitation will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home on March 31, 2016 at 10:00 am with Dr. Chris Pulliam of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.

Diane was born on July 8, 1952 in Dallas to the late Harold Craig and Eva Mary Imig Wallis. She went to high school at Robert E. Lee in Houston and graduated in 1970. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Math from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Computer & Political Science at the University of Texas at Tyler. She taught Computer Science at Tyler Junior College for 35 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose passion was spending time with family, exploring genealogy and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey Lynn Morris; son, Christopher (Amanda) Morris; son, Clint Morris (Amber Dashner); daughter, Carrie (Samuel) Matlin; five grandchildren Ryan Morris, Jacob Morris, Collin Morris, Izaak Buczkowski and Lyric Morris.
