David R. Maddox

Mr. Maddox was born on August 7, 1935 in Palestine to Harvey Martin and Birdie G Powell Maddox and passed away on March 20, 2017 in Palestine.

Mr. Maddox served 12 years in the U S Army in Korea, Panama and Germany. He was a member of Norwood Baptist Church and retired from the El Paso Fire Dept of 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, automobile and motorcycle racing.

Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Maddox of Palestine; son, Dwayne Maddox of Colorado; daughter, Melinda Maddox of Florida; step daughters, Carolyn Whittington of McKinney and Sissy of Florida; several grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Maddox of Austin; sisters, Martha Reed of Palestine and Elaine Bassette of Plano; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Maddox was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Maddox.

Visitation will be 10-12pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
