With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our dearly loved Danny Lynn Dallas. Danny departed this world peacefully on July 15, 2024 holding the hand of his beloved wife. Born on February 10, 1945, to Margaret Louise Land and Mabry Hugh Dallas in Corpus Christi, TX.
Danny’s life was anchored in his family. He shared a deep and abiding love with his wife, Connie Lee Smith Dallas from 1977 until his passing in 2024. Their union brought forth two remarkable sons; Daniel Charles Dallas and wife, Lauren, and Joshua Lynn Dallas and wife, Wendy. In his later years, Danny relished his role as grandfather, showering love and attention to his amazing grandblessings; Audrie, Andrew, Levi, Hazel, Easton and Emslee. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Danny was blessed with loving and caring siblings; sister, Diann Carrington and brother, Charles Mabry “Chuck” Dallas and wife, Julie.
Danny’s career began in the Army serving during the Vietnam War and receiving two purple hearts and numerous other honorary metals. His great appreciation for the military resulted in him thanking and shaking the hands of every veteran that he came across. He proudly wore his veteran cap daily.
Danny’s career continued as he devoted 47 years of his life taking on various roles at Trane. He enjoyed visiting and playing cards or dominoes with friends over a meal or cup of coffee.
Danny had a love for the outdoors, enjoying many hunting and fishing trips with his family. Some of his favorite places involved holding a fishing pole or rifle next to those he loved most. He found peace and an occasional nap while waiting for an animal to appear in those early morning hunting trips with his sons and grandsons.
His legacy will continue to resonate in our hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to have known him. His kindness, integrity and devotion to his family will be forever cherished. As we celebrate Danny’s life, we carry with us his love for the outdoors and his unshakable faith.
The family plans to hold a memorial on Friday, July 19th at 2:30pm at Lloyd James Funeral
Home in Tyler, TX. We find peace and comfort knowing that we will be reunited with him again.
Rest in peace, our dear sweet Danny Lynn. Your spirit will continue to inspire those that had the honor of knowing you. Your light shines on in the lives of those you touched, you were a
beacon of love, and kindness.
