Dan F. Cole passed away in Tyler, Texas on September 15, 2024. Dan was born July 22, 1937, in Jacksonville, Texas. Dan is survived by Brian and Sandy McClain, his brother- in - law and sister-in-law, of Lufkin, Texas, Pam Stokes Poling and Cyrus Poling, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law of Lufkin, Texas and his sister Sandra Cole of Nacogdoches. Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Margaret Cole and His parents Bennie Cole and Ruby Camp Cole. Dan was a highly decorated Army Captain earning two bronze stars during his service in the Vietnam war. Dan will be missed.
A funeral service for Dan will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler, TX 757013308. A visitation will occur from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to services at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Friday following services, with Military Honors at Frankston City Cemetery, Frankston TX 75763.
