Chris was a loving son, brother, father and friend. He graduated from Gilmer High School in 1990 and attended Kilgore College. Chris was a Master Mason in the Masonic lodge, and a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Chris loved to travel, was a very generous and caring father, and enjoyed spending precious time with his family. Above all, Chris had unconditional love for his son, Colton. He had a heart full of God, and did his best to influence those around him with his sensitivity towards their needs and kindness in his heart. He always showed compassion, generosity, and love towards others. Chris was the one you called when you needed a helping hand, someone to talk to, or listen. He was the person you could count on, day or night. Chris always put others before himself and was a true blessing to countless people. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Chris is survived by his son, Colton Michael Chandler; parents, Mike Chandler, Rosa and Bob Graham; siblings, Marisa and Daniel Lhuillier, Jeremy Allen, and Craig Allen; girlfriend, Becky Nolan; nephews, Tristian Lhuillier and Gavin Lhuillier; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, A.L. Buck Chandler, Beulah and Ed Campbell, and Anita Ramirez; aunts and uncles, Don Chandler and Kenneth Chandler, Shirley and Dean Clark; and cousin, Matthew Chandler.
A time of visitation for Chris will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with a graveside service committal in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Colton Chandler, Jeremy Allen, Craig Allen, Daniel Lhuillier, Tristian Lhuillier, Johnny Martin, Russell DonCarlos, and Jacob Berlin; honorary pallbearer, Gavin Lhuillier.
