Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born on January 28, 1926, in Mineral, Texas to Sherman and Mimie Alexander Taylor and passed away on May 28, 2014 in Fort Worth. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 where he toured the Pacific. After being discharged he married Hazel V. Dorn in 1946 in their hometown of Calliham, Texas. He was employed by United Gas Pipeline as a welder and area superintendent for 35 years.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Taylor and wife Rita, of Fort Worth, Dwight Taylor and wife Lora of Carthage; grandchildren, Alan Taylor of Austin, Diana Kimura of Fort Worth and Stephen Luman of Carthage; great-grandsons, Lucas and Jacob Taylor of Austin; brother, Calvin Taylor of Nixon; and sister, Lucille Reed of Pleasanton. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife of 57 Years in 2003.
Visitation will be 11:00AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Hospice of choice or an Alzheimer’s facility of choice.
