Carole Chastain

Carole Ann (Lawless) Chastain slipped away peacefully in her sleep at her home on 14 Jan. 2015, age 72. She was born 14 May 1942 in Goose Creek, TX, the daughter of Phalba (Godwin) Lawless. She married Ernest C. Chastain on 12 Oct. 1957 in Baytown, TX.

Mrs. Chastain was a loyal and devoted wife and a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as being a life long friend.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernie; two daughters Lee Chastain and Cheryl (Douglas) White; daughter in law Bonnie Avonrude; three grandchildren, Amy (Cody) Buchanan, Ashley Chastain and Christopher (Nina) Chastain; four great grandchildren Clayton Chastain, and Kimberley, Connor and Dylan Buchanan; a brother Rodney Lawless and many nieces and nephews.

Carole was predeceased by her beloved son Ben, her mother Phalba Lawless, her sister Pamela Sellers, and her brother Robert Lawless.

At her request, and the family's, there will be no memorial service. Mrs. Chastain will be interred at Tyler Memorial Park in Tyler, TX. In lieu of flowers, your donation to her favorite charity, in her memory, to Mercy Ships would be appreciated.
