He grew up and attended school in Korea. He met and married Han Im Song on March 7, 1981 in Korea. Following his undergraduate work in Korea, he moved to Texas to pursue a graduate degree from Baylor University. He served East Texas for over 20 years as the senior pastor at the Tyler Korean Baptist Church and the Nacogdoches Korean Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Han Im Song of Tyler; children, Samuel Han of Tyler; Lois Han of Tyler, John Han of Tyler; father, Sang Sae Han of Korea; siblings, Ik Hee Han of Korea; Jae Hee Han of Korea and Kwon Hee Han of Chicago, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Tyler Korean Baptist Church, 11858 Highway 155 N., Tyler; with visitation an hour prior to the service.
