Bobbie Jo Grier

Services for Bobbie Jo Grier, 86, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 17, 2015, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Ira Lynn and Bobby McClenny officiating. Burial is in the Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.

Bobbie passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Tyler. She was born on May 8, 1929 in Upshur County to Thomas Milton and Hattie Ellison Greer. She was a longtime resident of Tyler and a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Lindale. She had been married for 60 years to Jack Grier. Together they enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling. They belonged to an Airstream Travel Club where they enjoyed many friendships and going different places.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Davis and Molly Gorman and brother, Tom Greer.

She is survived by her husband Jack Grier, of Tyler; daughter, Penny Spivey, of Bullard; son, Jackie and his wife Jill Grier, of Tyler; brother, Dean and his wife Ann Greer, of Tyler; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Spivey, Jacob Spivey, Dusty Stidham, Ryan Grier, Mark Grier and Eric Belflower.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
