Graveside Funeral services for B.C. Trammell, Jr. 94 of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Ward Officiating, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Masonic Graveside Rites rendered. The family will receive friends at the graveside prior to service.
Mr. Trammell passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 in Tyler. He was born July 19, 1928 in Athens to the late Burl Cook Trammell and Mary Ione Pierce Trammell. He has lived in Tyler since 1971. He retired after 39 years with Gulf States/United Telephone Co. (Now Luman Technologies) in several positions. He was a craftsman and was very good at making stained glass. He also loved hunting and fishing. He was a Methodist and member of the Athens Masonic Lodge # 165, was a 32 degree Scottish Rite member and a Charter member of the Sharon Temple.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, LaWana Mims Trammell; and by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Trammell of Tyler; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Lynn and Brenda Trammell of Benton City, WA; daughters and sons-in-laws, Sherry and Jerry Mead of Chandler, Debra and Larry McElwee of Flint and Sharon and James Hail of Salina; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
