Amaya was a student at Wayne D Boshears Center for Exceptional Programs School. She received her Outstanding Improvement Award in 2022 and Excellent Effort Award in 2023. Amaya loved school, especially getting to see and play with Ms. Jami Ray everyday. She also loved to cuddle Ms. Shanda Warren, her teacher for the past 2 years. Amaya loved her bus rides with Mr. Ed Nolan and Bianaca Johnson, who spoiled her rotten. Her favorite thing to do was hang out with family, play with her toys, and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse daily. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and listening to music. Amaya loved her physical therapy sessions with Mayela Ortiz, especially the Proprioceptive input where she gets hugs and kisses the entire time. Her special moments included her adoption on Monday, August 1, 2022 and developmental milestones like sitting alone, rolling all over the floor, and pulling up on her crib to see what was going on around the house. Amaya was very loving, happy, caring, and determined to improve, motivated to conquer whatever tasks we wanted her to succeed in. I love Amaya's motivation and most of all her beautiful smile. She could turn your bad days into your best days. Amaya left her mark on everyone she loved, which was a bite!
