Amanda Kay Mason

A loving wife, mother, & daughter, Amanda is survived by her husband D. Blake Mason, son Nicolas Gunner Mason, daughter Rachel Marie Mason, one granddaughter Jonah D’Lynn Mason, mother & stepfather Dedra & James Finninger, father & stepmother Timothy & Libby Faught, sisters Kristy N. Faught, Victoria Nordin, Tara Bowdler, Lauren White, Bailey & Karley Finninger, Alley Campbell, her maternal grandparents Barbara & Marston Carpenter, and her uncle Joshua Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Don Keith McClung & aunt Kimberly Flanery, paternal grandparents Alfred & Sevetta Faught & uncles Anthony, Mike, & Perry Faught. Amanda also has many beloved nieces, nephews, & many cousins that she loved so very much.

Amanda worked as an executive assistant for years before becoming a homemaker of her own. Amanda was a loving wife, devoted mother and her children’s biggest cheerleader. Her children never had any problems hearing their mother cheering them on, nor did Arp, TX, during their many school events. She was a talented artist and was actively involved in trolling her friends and family on social media. Her greatest joy was being the best YaYa to her granddaughter Jonah, and she was also looking forward to welcoming her new niece to the world in November. She was wickedly funny, an excellent cook, a daddy’s girl, and an extremely emphatic & loyal friend.

To know Amanda was to love her!

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Gary Boyd until his passing & nurse Denise Huffman, Dr. David Lundy, & Dr. Michael Ashigbi. Also, the compassionate doctors, nurses, and countless staff from UT Health Hospital in Tyler, TX for going above and beyond for our Amanda, especially during her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Amanda on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, TX.
