Services for Alyson Leon Stanley, age 80, of Tyler will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Crawford and Bro James Cheatham officiating, with Burial in Tyler Memorial Park. Mr Stanley was born on December 30, 1932 in Roanoke, VA to Randolph and Loma Underwood Stanley and passed away on August 31, 2013 in Tyler, TX. Mr. Stanley Served four Years in The US Air Force, graduated from Southwest School of Printng in Dallas in 1956, he began work at the newspaper in Borger, TX. After moving to Tyler he worked for Hixson Ellis, Story Wright and Tyler Printing until his Retirement. Mr Stanley Loved to play Golf and in his later years, when his body no longer allowed him to play, enjoyed playing 42 with his friends at First Baptist Church of Gresham. Mr. Stanley is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty Stanley of Tyler, Daughters: Barbara Beall & Husband Kenny of Tyler, Sue Lawson of Cedar Hill & Donna Hightower of Tyler, Brother: Floyd Stanley & Wife: Linda of Roanoke, VA and Sister: Donna Johnson of Burlington, NC, 5 Grandchildren and 8 Greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Buddy Stanley killed in Vietnam and sister: Ellen Canter.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
