Alex graduated from John Tyler High School in 2008. He was formally from Lubbock, Texas and moved to Tyler 2 years ago, then became a member of Friendly Baptist Church. Alex worked at 7/11 in Gresham, Texas as an assistant manager, and was very much loved by not only his coworkers, but customers who found joy in seeing him in the store. He had a goofy personality, with a great sense of humor. Alex was known to have a generous heart of gold, and never hesitated to help someone. He enjoyed listening to music, specifically heavy metal, which encouraged his passion for playing guitar. Alex liked to play video games in his free time, and even was nicknamed 'AKA Games' by his little sister, Brooke. He will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Alex is survived by his father and bonus mother, David and Tabitha Woods; sister, Brooke Woods; grandfather and wife, Tim and Dorothy Woods; bonus grandparents, Ignacio Torres and Edna Rios; aunts, Gayla Buxkemper, Rosemary Woods, and Jeni Ingram; uncle, Terrell Cantrell; stepbrothers, Jeremiah Teutsch, and Dennis Teutsch; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Alex is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Cantrell Teutsch; brother, Aaron Woods; grandparents, Claude and Donna Ricks, Wallace Cantrell, and Kay Woods Boren.
