Walt was born to George and Amelia Rudolph on January 5, 1928 in Jerome, Idaho. He grew up on the family farm south of Kimberly. In 1946, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army. Later that year he married Winnifred Tyler of Kimberly, where they raised their three children. They were later divorced. In 1975, he married Betty Olsen. They spent the next 33 years together in Twin Falls.
He worked in the tire business and owned his own tire-recapping shop. In his spare time, he enjoyed square dancing, gardening and being a member of the Model A Ford Club and being a founding member of the local chapter. He maintained his love of Model A’s his entire life.
Walt was a member of the First Baptist Church of Twin Falls for over 65 years, having served as a deacon and a member of the choir.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leonard, Lawrence and Elmer; his wife and his grandson, Troy McCormick. He is survived by his children, Dianne (Bill) McCormick of Boise; Sharon Rudolph of Sacramento, CA and Rodney (Becky) Rudolph of Twin Falls. Special thank you’s to his best friend, Ray Fortner, for all his companionship and care for our Dad; also to his caregiver, Roberta from Addus, for her compassionate kindness. For 8 years dad ate breakfast nearly every day at the Ground Round so a big thank you to Katy, C.R., staff and friends he had the pleasure of seeing each day. That was a real blessing to Dad.

Military honors by the Magic Valley Honor Guard and Idaho National Guard. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
