Marvin Wilford Coates

Marvin was born Nov. 28, 1939 in Hailey, ID to Joseph Ervin and Josephine Elenora Coates.

Marvin served in the Army for 22 years, from 1959-1982. He did two tours in Vietnam.

He married Linda Mae Fouch April 8, 1967. Marvin retired from the military and he and Linda moved to Twin Falls, ID.

Marvin had a love for nascar racing, and his large and extended family. He was a simple, but very loving man with strong family values.

Marvin is survived by his loving family wife Linda, oldest son Joseph Ervin Coates ll (Ruby), daughter Michelle Leigh Coates, son Michael Allen Coates mother Josephine Elenora Coates, brothers Larry (Linda), Lee (Darlene), Jan (Fred) Autry, Wayne (Sandy), Karen(Sam) Ferrenberg, Tom Coates, Kerry(Yvette),numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Ervin Coates, daughter Victoria Lynn Coates (Bernier) and brother Don Coates.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Twin Falls LDS Stake Center, 2085 South Temple Dr. with a viewing from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
