Winston E. Pitman, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died February 5, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Pitman and stepdaughters, Vicki Fitzpatrick and Lisa Porter.
Winston was born in Holtville, Calif. on March 9, 1933. He played various sports but his heart and skill was in boxing. He fought in both the Golden Gloves and AAU. He had a lifelong interest in history and politics. Reading was a never-ending joy. Winston also loved woodworking and gardening.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lee Bible Class at First United Methodist Church, Tuscaloosa.
