Wilda McCullum Smith, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, died June 21, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Davis and Bro. Larry Bonner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, June 23, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Evie McCullum; daughter, Linda Strickland; grandson, Daniel Strickland; brothers, Charles and Harold McCullum; husbands, William Strickland, Richard ""Whitey"" Montgomery and John Earl Smith; and daughter-in-law, Tina Montgomery.
She is survived by her sons, David Strickland (Pam) and Barry R. Montgomery (Melissa); stepson, Donnie Smith, Sr. (Cynthia); step-daughter, Deborah Hargrove; grandchildren, Christi Allen (Luke), Michelle Colburn (Tyler), Ross Lollar (Erin), Mark and Luke Strickland, Donnie Smith, Jr. (Dana), Jeremy Smith, Randy and Carla Estes, Jessica Strahan, Andrew Strahan and Jenna Strahan; great-grandchildren, Daniel Logan Allen, Kayla Smith, Wyatt Estes and Laila Rain Lollar, Corbin Allen, Lucas Lollar and Lena Reese Lollar.
Wilda was born November 10, 1927 in Newville, Ala. She was a wonderful Christian lady whose love for all her family and friends was guided by her faith. She gave wise counsel to all her family and was a loving friend to many. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
