NORTHPORT – Thomas McCurdy Peters, age 92, passed away peacefully September 21, 2022. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Alberta Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Pugh and Jerry Mims officiating. The family will receive friends following the service with a reception luncheon at the church. Mr. Peters will be laid to rest in Memory Hill Gardens.
Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Garner Peters; sister, Zenoba Harmon (Jack); brothers, Grover Cleveland “Bud” Peters, Jr. (Betty) and Kenneth Peters; sister, Carolyn Gray (Charles); brother-in-law, James “Corky” Bice; and grandson, Brandon Thomas Peters.
He is survived by his sons, Julian Thomas Peters and Marcus Cleveland Peters; daughter, Alison Peters Henderson (Rich); sister, Ruelane Bice; grandchildren, Lauren Peters Anders (Bill), Mary Alison Henderson, and Audrey Louise Henderson; great-grandchildren, Troy, Miles and Stevie Anders; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to special caregiver Anthony Porter, and for the loving care provided by the staff of Martinview Assisted Living.
