Thomas "Tommy" Hallman

Thomas "Tommy" Hallman, age 62, of Cottondale, Ala., died November 8, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Ray Hallman and Paul Peeples officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Traweek and father, Troy Hallman.Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Eaton (Danny), Karen Wright (Justin) and Ashley Balentine (Brandon); special son, Robert Simpson; grandchildren, Taylor Eaton, Sara Eaton, Landon Wright, Kelsey Wright, Brantley Balentine; stepfather, Curtis Traweek; mother of his children, Beth Hallman; and special friend, Faye Grammer.Tommy, also known as "Hoss", was such a loving father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family and helping others. He enjoyed living life, fishing, Alabama football and most of all watching his grandkids grow up. He fought hard in the recent battle of his extended illness. We thought we could see the end in sight for his healing on earth, but God had a different plan. He is now home with his Heavenly Father and a void is in our lives that can never be replaced. We find comfort in knowing he is in Heaven. We miss you dearly Daddy and a piece of our hearts are with you. Each day that passes is one closer to seeing you. We love you and will see you again in Heaven - your girls.Pallbearers will be Brad Pool, Jeremy Garrison, D. J.
