Thelma H Sams

TUSCALOOSA – Thelma H. Sams, age 95, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died April 1, 2017. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Sams; daughter, Roberta Gail Wilson; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Sams Deerman (Randy) and Teresa Sams Johnson (Tom); four grandchildren, George Johnson, Jr., Beth Gonzales, Chuck Lett, III and Misty Gardner; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Everette, Karsten Johnson and Ashley Gonzales; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ava, Laykin and Barrett.

She was a longtime member of Northport Church of God and lived her life for the Lord.

Pallbearers will be Randy Deerman, Tom Johnson, Chuck Lett, III, Fred Gonzales, Mike Gardner and George Johnson, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff at Heritage Health & Rehabilitation, Southern Care Hospice and David Holder.
