Shelia O. Price

She is preceded in death by her father, Carlie Oswalt and mother, Lucile Oswalt; brother, Charles Oswalt.

Shelia is survived by her husband, John Wayne Price; daughter, Christy Gail Patterson (Johnny); sons, John Price Jr. (Suzy), Michael Jay Price (Tiffany); sisters, Faye Renforth and Betty Upchurch; brother, Paul Oswalt (Virginia); grandchildren, Jake, Cody, Allison, Zac, Abbi, Kinsley, Rylee, Taylor, Paisley, Emma, Preston, Tyler, Brylee, and Maddie and 11 great-grandchildren.

Shelia was a loving beautiful woman who always put everyone else ahead of herself. She was the kind of person who would give anyone the shirt off her back if they were in need. Her smile was contagious, when she came in the room smiling, she would change the mood of everyone in the room. On Sunday morning you could find her in the kitchen preparing lunch for the family after church, at Poplar Springs Church. After words you could find her gathered around the dinner table at her house with the whole family. Later in life, her attention turned to her grandkids. When you would go to her house you would always see little ones running around the yard, and her right there with them. In her eyes the grandkids could never do any wrong. She was always smiling and full of energy. You would never see her in a bad mood. Even if you were in the worst of places she could put you in the best of moods. We know you have moved on to a better place, but your memory will forever live within us.

Pallbearers are Jake Price, Cody Price, Zac Price, Larry Morrison, Preston Short, and Paul Kennedy. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Manning.

A visitation for Shelia will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Shelia will be laid to rest in Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
