Samir Mohammed Yassin

Samir Mohammed Yassin, age 44, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Memory Hill Gardens at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.

Samir was preceded in death by his father, Mahmoud Yassin; grandfather, Nashat Yassin; grandmother, Kariman Yassin.

He is survived by his mother, Soheer Yassin; brother, Sammy Yassin; brother-in-laws, Calvin Colbert and Bryant Carter; sister, Susie Carter; niece, Natasha Bills.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Yassin, Calvin Colbert and Bryant Carter.

Samir, also known as “Mizzy,” will always be remembered for his powerful presence. From the moment he came into our lives, his bright heart and angelic soul lit up everyday for the family and everyone else that he encountered. Nobody was ever a stranger. He loved unconditionally and lived without judgment. He had a pure soul that was never conflicted by the world. You could never be sad or upset around him because his contagious smile and sweet hugs and kisses made you feel so much better. We already know you are dancing your way through heaven. Rest in peace Mizzy.
