Ruby Louise McGraw

Ruby Louise McGraw, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, died July 29, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Dan Kilgore officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas McGraw Jr.; her mother, Mary Levinia Malone; her father, Noah Dee Malone; her sister, Helen Moman; and her brother, Noah Dee Malone.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Thomas McGraw III (Debbie) and Gregory Dee McGraw; her grandchildren, Gregory Ryan McGraw (Shana), Azure Dee McGraw, Meredith Sims Medders (Brandon), and Stephanie Paige Williams (Justin), all of Tuscaloosa; and her great-grandchildren, Rylan Elizabeth McGraw, Berkley Sims Medders, Paxton Malone Williams, and Brody Thomas Medders.

She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and attended the University of Alabama. She worked 26 years at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse before retiring. She married her high school sweetheart and was married 64 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Medders, Richard Powell, Guy Moman Jr., David Moman, Ryan McGraw, Mark Powell, and Deebo Malone.

Honorary pallbearers are doctors and staff of DCH Cancer Center, staff of Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. John Summerford, Dr. Wesley Spruill, Mrs. Orie Buford, Fred and Jackie Little, neighbors of Cherrydale, and Justin Williams.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Malone World Service at Trinity United Methodist Church or to one's favorite charity.
