Roy Williams was born April 11th, 1928, in Pickens County to the late Eulie T Williams and Lillian Ashcraft Williams. He received his welding certificates from Shelton State Vocational School and eventually became a welding instructor at the school. He went on to work at Dixie Steel and ultimately McAbee Construction where he retired as a Foreman. He loved piddling in his shop, surrounded by tools and projects that brought him joy including working on lawn mowers or anything else he could get his hands on. In recent years he enjoyed sitting on his back porch watching hummingbirds. He was a member of Alberta Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and old gospel music. For decades he looked forward to eating breakfast with his friends at Wrights Restaurant. Like Pauline he enjoyed spending time with family and friends including his "girls" Gizmo and Peanut.
