Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Boian Moore and Millicent Cecile Sheridan Moore; and his sister, Margaret Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emily Ann Coleman Moore; son, Henry Shirley Moore (Andrea Lynn Snow) and daughter, Katherine Vincent Moore.
Robin was born in Washington D.C. in 1936. He graduated from Sewanee Military Academy in 1954, and continued on to the University of the South, earning his Bachelor’s degree in 1958. During his career, he continued his postgraduate education, which culminated in an MBA from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a Supply Officer for twenty years until his retirement in 1978. After retirement, he pursued a second career as a college professor. Over the course of his professional life, Robin served as Kiwanis president, board member and newsletter editor.
In his spare time, Robin enjoyed model railroading (a passion for over 60 years), golf, reading, Alabama football, spending time with his dogs, and being helpful to others.
Robin believed that God, family, and country are most important in life. He was a man who embodied honesty, integrity, and a devotion to duty, and who had a good sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter or the Humane Society of West Alabama.
