

COTTONDALE | Robert Edward Bullock, age 88, of Cottondale, died December 11, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Evergreen Baptist Church with Brother Jack Clary officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Burial will follow at a later date in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Fay Bullock; son, Stephen Bullock; parents, J.J. and Rena Bullock; and brothers and sisters, Gordon Bullock, Wilbur Bullock, Jake Bullock, Marie Haffey and Wilean Johnston.
Survivors will be his daughters, Bobette Toussant (David) of Tupelo, Miss. and Robin Tibbs (Tim) of Fulton, Miss.; sons, Brad Bullock (Debbie) of Tupelo, Miss., Kenneth Bullock (Ginny) of Cottondale, Ala. and Joel Bullock of Cottondale, Ala.; grandchildren, Dwain Bates, Menton Matthews III, Ben Bullock, Renee Hubbard, Brandi Blackburn, Jayme Bullock, Sam Alexander, Jonathan Alexander, Emily Tibbs and Seth Bullock; and seven great-grandchildren.
Robert was born and raised in McComb, Miss. He was one of six children, graduated from McComb High School and was a faithful member of South McComb Baptist Church.
When Robert and Glenda came together with three children, they were blessed with three more. He moved from McComb, Miss. to Albia, Iowa then to Malvern, Ark. where he worked for Chamber Door Manufacturing as an engineer until retiring to Pass Christian, Miss.
After hurricane Katrina, Robert relocated to Tuscaloosa, Ala. with Glenda F. Bullock of 52 years. They eventually settled at a home at Lake Wildwood where they enjoyed a peaceful life on the lake with the blue herons, geese, ducks and the occasional sighting of a bald eagle.
Robert was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, members of Evergreen Baptist Church, friends and neighbors of Lake Wildwood, Dr. Leonard Jones III, Margie Jones, Lisa Scacy, Heather Sauceman, Wilma Worothy and Marcelle Smalley.
