Revis was a hard worker and until his health failed, he filled his days doing physical labor of some sort or another. Revis was a skilled auto mechanic and welder. He spent his early working years, with numerous surface mining companies as first an employee and then as a much sought-after, self-employed welder. In the early 1980’s, Revis founded a long-haul trucking business which he operated and drove one of the trucks himself. In later years, he owed and operated JRV Waste Oil, LLC until he retired. His passion was “anything auto”. He owned and raced dirt track cars, worked as a drag car mechanic, and collected and restored old cars. Revis was never too busy to lend a helping hand-even being known to stop and help people broken down on the road. And, like so many Alabamians, he enjoyed watching Alabama football.
Honorary pallbearers will be his numerous nephews.
