Rella Savage, age 93, passed away October 26, 2023 at Moundville Health & Rehabilitation. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Ms. Savage was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Savage; son, James Edward Frye; sister, Avice Bishop; and brothers, Claude Staton and G.A. Staton.
She is survived by her sons, George Frye (Kaye), Kenneth W. Frye (Marie), Tim Frye (Vicki), and Scott Manderson (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Jackie Frye; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Fields, Jeff West, Chad Frye, Kenneth D. Frye, Preston Bailey Ryan, and Derek Day.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her great-grandchildren, Moundville Health & Rehabilitation, Dr. Wilhite, Gladys Davis, special friend Earl Bannerman, the Weatherby Neighborhood, Englewood Baptist Church, Lily May, Sherry Rice, King's Kitchen, and Janice Toxey.
