He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Snyder and brother-in-law, Mark Kelley.
Survivors include his wife, Krista Kelley Snyder; daughter, Keely and Michael Duke; son, Andrew and Kaysi Snyder; sisters, Rita Richardson (Ken) and Lisa Hutchins (John); brother-in-law, Matthew Kelley (Lydia); father, Grover Snyder; grandchildren, Ike, Maggie Kate and Lucy Randall Duke, Cooper Ryan Snyder and Will Hutchinson; nephews and nieces include, Todd Richardson, Taylor and Brandon Hughes, Stephanie and Eric Lezatte, Nick Kelley, Elisa Kelley (Reid Colgrove), Katy Kelley and Madison Owen; and parents-in-law, Curtis and Barbara Kelley.
Randy retired from the Post Office in 2013 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, spending time with family and friends and watching Alabama football. He adored his ""grands"", as he called them, and was the best Pop there could ever be.
Many words have been used to describe Randy, especially during these last four years: ""strong"", ""courageous"", ""gritty"", ""tenacious"", ""warrior"", but one phrase was especially true, ""he was made of something different."" If you knew him, you knew this to be true. If you knew him, you knew why this was true. Randy's passionate purpose was the evidence of his relationship to Jesus Christ. Saved at the early age of nine, and being raised by godly parents, Randy was assured of his eternity. Married to his wife, Krista, of almost 39 years, he led his own family with integrity. His sense of humor and dry wit filled us with fun and laughter. He loved people with joy and truth. He was a man of prayer and stood firmly on the Word of God, typically being slow to speak, but quick to encourage. Blessed are we who knew him, and we can only imagine the reunion on the Glorious Day.
Pallbearers will be Dan Meherg, Mike Lovejoy, Jerry Hoggle, Steve Keith, Don Pool, Phillip Guin, Gregg Mitchell, Robert Wallace, Steve McCracken and Chris Davis.
