Percy “Buddy” Earl Tucker, age 75, passed away at his home in McCalla, AL on January 15, 2023 with family at his side. Buddy was a thoughtful, kind, and caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Jordan Carl and Ruth Earline Tucker, his brothers Tommy and Mark Tucker, sister, Linda Brown and sister-in-law Barbara Tucker. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Tucker, brothers, Ricky Tucker (Dena), John Tucker (Tina), and Carl Tucker, sister, Letha Morrison (Steve), many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, grandchildren, Shane Nail (Brent) and Tucker Stephenson (Lindsey), as well as five great grandchildren: Tristan, Ben, Meredith Kate, Ally, and Atticus.
Buddy was born to Cpl and Mrs. J.C. Tucker on February 7, 1947 in Selma, AL. Buddy grew up all over the world as his father’s enlistment in the Air Force sent his family to many destinations. In 1964, Buddy enlisted in the Navy and served in the Vietnam War. In 1965, he married Mary Canterberry and the two of them had one daughter, Terri Lynn Tucker. In 1987, Buddy dedicated his life to Christ and became a member of Rosedale Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL. After his time in the Navy, Buddy owned Buddy’s Mini Mart, worked on several catfish farms, and delivered milk for Dairy Fresh before moving to McCalla, AL to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. He retired in 2010 as a security guard with Office Max. In 2011, his first great grandchild, Tristan Nail, was born. From then on, Buddy invested all of his time and energy into the life and happiness of Tristan.

A visitation for Buddy will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
