Patty Jean Armstrong

Patty Armstrong, age 91, of Northport, Alabama, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa. A private family service will be held on Thursday, October 12, at one o'clock in Memory Hill Gardens, Tuscaloosa, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, John.

Patty was born December 30, 1931, to Henry Albert and Helen Elizabeth (Libby) Hagler, deceased. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and Jimmy, and sisters, Allene, Martha, and Nina.

Patty looked forward to talking to and visiting with family. She enjoyed beautiful flowers, plants, and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a long-time resident of Presbyterian Apartments, Northport. Patty was a loving Christian wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Patty is survived by her sons, Johnny (Linda) and David (Fay) of Georgia, and her sister, Mary Ann (Rev. E.P., Jr.), of Dothan, Alabama (formerly of Thomasville, Georgia); grandchildren: John Armstrong III, Jason Armstrong, Elizabeth Boutwell, and Kay Blankenship; and great-grandchildren: (Johnny) Shaylee, Jacob, Katie, Katlyn, and Marley; (David) Lorin and Nathan. She is also survived by her cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A donation to Macedonia United Methodist Church, 14837 Hwy 69 N, Northport, Alabama 35475, may be made in lieu of flowers.
