Ms. Guy worked for many years as a pediatric nurse for Dr. Peter A. Trice, she decided to retire from nursing along with Dr. Trice when he closed his practice. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time working with her flowers, especially her prized Daylily bed. She loved her Lord and was a Member of Five Points Baptist Church. Being one of ten children herself she had an immense love for children, "she was The Best Mother", not only to her own children, but sharing her love with numerous nieces, nephews and any child that was part of her life. In her later years, she especially loved her role as “MaMaw” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune most nights, but Saturday’s were always her favorite, as she was an avid fan of Alabama Football! She also seldom missed watching The Gaither’s.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Chris Lavender, Larry Robertson, Dalton Bobo, Darryl Bobo, Drew Strickland and Josh Patton.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her sister Helen Hodo, who held a special place in her heart, as well as, Dr. Hughes and staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Hospice of West Alabama and Dr. Keith DeBell and Staff.
