Mary J. Kelley

Mary J. Kelley, age 90, of Holt, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents,R.H. Jones and Annie Mae Jones, her husband Davis W. Kelley. She is also preceded by her four brothers and 5 sisters, son-in-law Jim Lane and Tony Mullenix. She is survived by her daughters Faye K. Mullenix, Charlotte Ray (Ken), and Sharon Lane, and her sister Irene House. Josephine is survived by seven grandchildren; Rachel Dunn (Tim), Ginger Smith (Mark), David Brewer, Kimberly Dyment, Heather Hawthorne (Ricky), Ashley Jones (Marsalis), and Casey Mullenix; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

Josephine born and raised in Aliceville, Al. She worked at Partlow State School until she retired in 1988. She has been known by many names such as Mama, Mawmaw, Mrs. Kelley, Aunt Pheeney and Josephine. She was loved by everybody and she loved unconditionally. She was also very generous, selfless and always had open arms for family and friends in need. She has helped countless people and touched many lives with her loving care and kindness.

Pallbearers will be; Skylar Canida, Trey Browning, Joey Hawthorne, Tim Dunn, Mark Smith and Ricky Hawthorne. Honorary pallbearers will be; Dr. Grier Stewart Jr., Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, Dr. Mohammad Azam, and the staff of MICU at DCH Regional Medical Center.
