I just now heard of Mark passing. Such a shame. 

Mark and I were friends soon after we moved into Freehold. Together, we played baseball and basketball. There were even the times when we would get together for a few "pick up" games of touch football. 

Great times! 

Rest in Peace, my friend. You left this life way too soon. 

Shortly after the Pearson's moved to Freehold my mom (Mark's aunt) began taking us on day trips there from Jamesburg. They had a big backyard. We played a fair amount of touch football and some wiffleball. I loved taking those trips. My Aunt Toby was always joking around, making us laugh and we always stopped at the only Burger King in that part of the state (at the time) for a Whopper. My mother needed to talk to her sister and we got to hangout with cousins. I have good memories of those trips.
One other great moment was when our grandmother took Mark and I for a week. 1964 in Queens.  We stayed with her in her apartment on the Grand Concourse, in the Bronx.  What an adventure. I think I was 7 and Mark was 6. She took us to the World's Fair a few times. We drove her crazy, always running ahead of her and trying to get onto rides that she didn't think we should get on. At night we would play tackle football on her bed.  I don't she was too happy about our behavior but she never got mad at us.
I also spent a week one summer with the Pearson's at their home. I'm not really sure where they lived. Near the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges. Southern Bronx or north Queens?? Bruce or Grant would know.
Mark and I got along well back then. I liked visiting them and wish I had done more of it. The last time we saw each other was at his mom's funeral/viewing.
My condolences go to Nancy and Mark's family.
