Margaret Townsend Bailey-Stogner, age 81, previously of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, died on June 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret Belle and Earl Raymond Townsend and husband of 59 years Roger Malachi Bailey.
Survivors include husband, Duke Stogner; 3 children; son, Michael Andrew Bailey (Johnna), daughter, Pamela Robin Bailey Murphree (Robin) and son, Charles "Chuck" Raymond Bailey (Cynthis): grandchildren, Margaret "Meg" Fortenberry (Chadwick), Warren Bailey (Kari), Lauren Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Daniel Murphree and Matthew Murphree, and great- grandchildren, Harper Bailey, Belle Fortenberry and Etta Fortenberry. Margaret was a 1961 graduate of Tuscaloosa High School. She retired from Tuscaloosa Pediatrics after serving over 40 years as a pediatric nurse for several local pediatricians. Services will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Visitation will be from 1 pm-2 pm and
the funeral service will be at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Pugh officiating and a graveside
service following at Memory Hill Gardens. Pallbearers are Chadwick Fortenberry, Daniel Murphree, Matthew Murphree, Andrew Bailey, Alex Poe and Homer Brown.
