She was born on July 13, 1940, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Frederick Dudley and Velma Venus Quint, and grew up in Jackson, MS. After high school, she attended Mather School of Nursing, in New Orleans and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She began teaching nursing students at the Baptist Hospital and this is where she met and fell in love with Dr. William Allen Bright, whom she married in August of 1962, they enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Early on they relocated to Tuscaloosa and had three boys that Linda and Will were beyond enamored with. Linda loved the Lord and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School class. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She tragically lost her sister Adelynn in 2017 and her brother in law, Henry, who died in 2018. Linda fiercely loved her boys and their families, William Frederick and Cynthia Bailey Bright, Dale Allen and Julie Langham Bright, Michael Edward and Rebecca Wagner Bright. If you wanted to see Linda smile, you would ask her about her grandchildren. Her "grands"; William Cole, Nicholas Valentine, Ivey Caroline, Wilson Anthony and his wife, Adele Tessier, Reagan Elizabeth, Madelyn Grace, Grayson Michael, Hunter Allen, Joan Elizabeth, and Loralei Grace. Linda loved her nieces and nephews and had many close friends, including many of the boys' good friends, who she treated like her own. A private graveside service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you bless your church or favorite missionary with an extra financial donation to help further the Good News of Jesus.
