Lila Jean Gardner, age 77, of Brookwood, died Aug. 31, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Cullen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Coaling Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Gardner; her daughter, Regina Gardner; her mother, Marie Russell; her father, Thomas Cooley; and her sister, Gladys Cooley.
Survivors include her daughters, Darlene Gardner Stokes (Roger) and Jennifer Gardner Henson (Scott); her sons, Jerry R. Gardner and Darrell G. Gardner; and her grandchildren, Hunter Henson, Chandler Henson, and Riley Henson.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Gardner, Roger Stokes, Houston Daniels, David Daniels, Phil Willingham, and Doug Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Harkey, Buddy White, and Jimmy and Kathy Peoples.
