John Andrew (Andy) Powell, 44, of Northport, Alabama, passed away at his home on April 2, 2025. Andy was born on July 25, 1980, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is survived by his mother, Naomi Powell, father, Dino Powell, stepmother Jill, and brother Jake Powell. Andy will also be remembered by the relatives of the Quimby, Busby, and Channell families. He was preceded in death by his sister, Amy Powell, and grandmother, Adelaide Channell.
Andy was an amazing person that loved and cared for everyone. His generosity and kindness will be missed by everyone he knew and loved and that loved him. He worked at Mercedes for over two decades, and his presence there will also be sadly missed.
Services will be on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers please make a gift to the Dementia Society of America in memory of Andy’s beloved grandmother, Adelaide Channell.
